White Friday Ads in Jordan and the Gulf: A 3 Week Plan
White Friday starts three weeks before the Friday. Here is a practical week by week plan to enter the season with a clear offer and tested ads.

A good White Friday ad plan for Jordan and the Gulf starts at least three weeks before the sale season: one week to lock the offer and warm up an audience with content, one week to produce the ads and check your landing page or WhatsApp flow and tracking, and a final week to launch, pace the budget and retarget with real urgency.
White Friday is the name the Arab region uses for the Black Friday season, popularized by large regional e-commerce players. In 2026, Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November, and many stores run offers for the whole week or longer.
Why ads behave differently in this season
Many advertisers enter at the same time and compete for the same people, so the cost of showing an ad (CPM) usually rises compared with the rest of the month. Weak ads lose money faster, and proven ads matter more.
That is why the riskiest move of the season is raising the budget suddenly on sale days behind ads that were never tested. A bigger budget does not fix a weak ad. It just spends faster. Our rule is to scale only what proved itself before the season, the same logic we explain in when we stop an ad and when we scale it.
What makes a good White Friday offer
The offer is half the ad. A good one is:
- Clear: understood in two seconds. "Second pair at half price" beats "discounts of up to...".
- Simple: one or two conditions at most. Every extra condition makes people hesitate.
- Believable: shoppers recognize fake discounts. Raise prices before the season to cut them later and people notice.
Before you commit, work out your profit after the discount, delivery and ad cost. An offer that brings lots of orders and loses money on each one is not a win.
Week 1: offer, audiences and warm up
This week is about preparing and building audiences to retarget later:
- Lock the offer and the products included, and check stock for each one.
- Define your audiences: past customers, people who engaged with your account, site visitors, and new audiences in the cities or countries you deliver to.
- Publish warm up content: short videos on best sellers, customer experiences, or a hint that something is coming.
- Run view and engagement ads on a sensible budget so you build retargeting pools from people who watched or interacted.
Week 2: creative, page and tracking
Several hooks, several versions
Shoot the same offer in different ways: a hook that opens with the price, one that opens with the customer's problem, someone trying the product, and a plain image with the offer in large type. Test them on a small budget before the season, as we describe in one idea, many versions.
Landing page or WhatsApp
In Jordan a lot of selling happens in conversation, so messaging ads that open WhatsApp directly are often a strong choice. The chat has to be ready: a greeting that states the offer, quick replies for common questions (price, sizes, delivery), and a person who answers fast. If you run a store site, place a test order on your phone.
Tracking
Make sure your pixel and events record orders or conversations correctly before the season, not during it.
Week 3 and sale days: launch and pacing
- Launch: run the ads that won in week 2 and raise budgets in measured steps, not in one jump.
- Budget split: keep a clear share for retargeting people who watched, engaged or visited. They are closest to buying.
- Urgency: remind them when the offer ends or that stock is limited, as long as it is true.
- Stop losers fast: there is no time to wait for a weak ad to recover. Move its budget to what works.
- Stock and delivery: when a product sells out, pause its ad the same day, and confirm your courier can handle the volume.
- Cash on delivery cancellations: confirm each order by call or message before it ships. Cancelled orders cost delivery fees and time.
Example: a perfume shop in Amman
Say a perfume shop in Amman sells online and through WhatsApp, and runs "second bottle at half price" on its five best sellers. In week 1 it posts short videos on each scent and runs view ads behind them. In week 2 it shoots four versions of the offer and tests them on a small budget. The version where the owner describes how each scent smells wins clearly.
During White Friday week, budget goes to that version and to retargeting people who watched the scent videos, and two versions that brought no conversations are switched off. When one perfume sells out, its ad stops the same day. After the season, every buyer gets a thank you message with a suggestion for a scent that pairs with what they bought.
After the sale: follow up with buyers
People who bought during the season are now your most valuable audience. Confirm delivery, ask for their opinion, and later send them a private offer before the year ends. To see how the ad to chat to order path fits together, read the WhatsApp ads funnel.
How we handle this at Wave
We start by calculating the client's profit after discount and delivery, and agree on one clear offer before writing any script. We shoot several versions and hooks two weeks before the season and test them on a small budget, so we enter sale days with proven ads. We check tracking and the WhatsApp flow or landing page before launch, review numbers daily during the sale, and stop losers quickly. After the season we deliver a report on cost per conversation or order and ROAS, not likes.
